Update: On June 23, 2025, St. Catharines City Council has endorsed 17 recommendations aimed at improving the parking services in St. Catharines. One of the key directions identified by the review is integration of parking systems and technologies, which are currently unsupported and outdated. Council directed that a Request for Proposal be issued for e-ticketing solutions. See the staff report for more, and you can also watch the presentation and discussion in our Council meeting stream on YouTube.
The City of St. Catharines is reviewing how parking is managed across the community, and we want to hear from you.
We’ve retained LEA Consulting Ltd. to conduct a comprehensive review of parking services, including operations, enforcement, and how well the current system serves residents and visitors. This study places a particular focus on parking experiences in the downtown core and Special Provision Areas, including Lakeside Park, Sunset Beach, and Jones Beach.
To help guide future improvements, we’re asking for your feedback. Whether you regularly park downtown, at the beach, or not at all, your experiences and ideas will help shape a system that better meets the needs of our community.
