James Street Civic Square - Options Survey

The City of St. Catharines is currently undertaking a study to identify a preferred vision for the re-development of James Street, from King Street to Church Street, into a Civic Square area. Through the study, a recommended concept will be developed that will support the City’s goal of providing a community gathering place within the downtown core. The study area is highlighted in red below.

The Civic Square is intended to be an inclusive outdoor pedestrian and recreational space that functions as a community gathering place that could host a range of special events such as festivals, markets, and live performances.

This survey will explore three preliminary options for the Civic Square. We want to hear your feedback on what is the most effective layout for key program elements within the James Street Civic Square.
