• Input and Ideas for the Garden City Golf Course

    We want to hear from you. Tee up a new idea or add your vote of support to one already submitted. We are looking for any way we could improve the course, or it's operations to make it more sustainable and successful for years to come.

    Convert to 9 hole golf course using half the land. Use 25 percent of the land for subdivision Keep other 25 percent for new seniors centre

    Could front 9 be on one side of the tracks, and back 9 on the other. Maintain the greens better!! Fill the low-lying areas to avoid ponding

    More advertising to keep it open

    Keep it open for seniors and for special groups and public. Seniors feel isolated and need the return of Garden City Golf Course and the General Motors Golf Club. I hope your decision to keep it open for our seniors happens.Plus if you advertise more , more people will know about this amazing golf course. Avid Golfer Bill MacDonald.

    If the course didn’t use city water, costs would be lower. They need better options for food/golf/cpls nights/league make golf a priority

    It needs to be managed better...ask the staff that worked there for input...not opening this course this year is a bad idea...the course is ready...the people are ready to use it...get with the rest of the other courses and open it! Hire people to wash carts and clean touch points on the course. Let the Marshalls concentrate on flow of the course and social distancing.
