Consultation has concluded
City staff have received a petition to prohibit all parking on Rio Lane from the last week of November to the end of December to coincide with the Christmas light display. If implemented, starting in 2023, every year parking would be prohibited at all times on Rio Lane from Nov. 25 to Jan. 1.
In order to gauge the level of support for the proposal, we request that you visit stcatharines.ca/rio and complete the short survey by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2023.
Given that the proposal is to eliminate all on-street parking, implementation will only be considered if there is little to no opposition to the proposal.
Residents will be notified if the parking prohibition is approved. No notification will be sent if the parking is to remain as is.
Only one vote will be counted per household
