Consultation has concluded
City staff have received a request to investigate the prohibition of parking on one side of Rykert Street from Louth Street to Vansickle Road. It has been submitted that parking on both sides of the street unduly inhibits traffic flow.
City staff reviewed the request and given the roadway classification (collector road), the volume of traffic, and the roadway width, are supportive of prohibiting parking on one side of the street. It is being proposed that parking be prohibited on the north side (even numbered side) of Rykert Street from Louth Street to Vansickle Road to coincide with the existing restrictions in place along the frontage of Westdale Public School.
Prior to making a final decision, staff are requesting feedback from the residents on Rykert Street to gauge the level of support for the proposal.
Please give your response in the survey below.
Feedback closes at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2023.
Residents will only be notified if the parking prohibition is approved. No notification will be sent if the parking is to remain as is.
